Gazeta Wyborcza published an article at http://gospodarka.gazeta.pl/gospodarka/1,33181,2513286.html which main points are: European electronic corporations are lobbying Poland to accept the pro-software patents directive. The letters are send directly to prime minister Belka. Polish divisions of Siemens, Nokia, Philips, Ericsson and Alcatel gave Mr Belka letter with their official statement on the patent directive. Companies didn't want to say, what's in the letter, but Siemens' spokesman pointed out that it is important for companies like Siemens to have possibility to protect their investitions in research. At the same time he said that his company invested millions of euro to create Center of Software Development in Wroclaw, Poland, and this institution will soon hire 500 Polish specialists. After that information, "Gazeta Wyborcza" presented translation of the 'are you 80% sure?' part of Council meeting on 18th of May.
